Photo Bio
Originally a California girl, I was born & raised in LA, but now consider myself a New Yorker. My interest in photography started in high school, back in the darkroom days, but I didn't touch a camera for a long time after graduation. In 2007, a trip to Rome changed everything; I began taking photos again and have not stopped since.
I guess I would describe my style as "adventurous". I follow my intuition when shooting. Recently, this has led me to shoot in infrared and with Lensbabies. As a true city girl, I prefer cityscapes and street scenes to rural landscapes. A consistent element in my images is an emphasis on form, even in the rare portrait.
I am currently a student and teaching assistant at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. I am also an associate teacher of "The Art of Intuitive Photography" with Mindy Veissid. I conduct workshops at various locations throughout the New York area.
